19th Jan2014, first 1/8 Off-Road Buggy race kicks off in Southern Malaysia by Aw Hobby. Event attracted about 80 participants from Malaysia & Singapore. Many racer travels from Kuala Lumpur (national capital of Malaysia) to join this event for the fun and challenge.

Day 1, on Friday myself, Kato San and Chia travel to southern Malaysia by car for this exciting Lap Paradise event, it took us about 4 hours driving. Okâ¦!!! Then we reach the track and prepare for practice. I could not get my best time as the traction was very low.
Day 2, Saturday practice again, the traction was getting better and I started to make some setting changes and making better time, so from now I was ready for tomorrow race start.
Race day, after the qualifying I was in the semi-final B (Christmas Tree Format), in 3rd position. In my Semi-final B I finished 1st and my time was better than the Semi-A winner. Greatâ¦!!! I would be in pole position for the 1 hour final. Unlucky partner Kato San was DNF in the Semi-final A. Therefore now my friends Kato San & Chia would be helping me in pits and it gave me even more confidence for the finals having these 2 experienced guys working for me.
Final started and the first minutes I held my positionuntil one of my camber link screws became loose. I was forced for a pit stop, Kato San & Chia very quickly put back a new screw and new nut but due to the stop I lost some time and dropped to 15th position (last position). I knew that I still had about 50minutes to go, so I had to get back to my good pace and push further to chase the leader. After about 45minutes run I was in 3rd position later on I came right behind the 2nd position racer, finally in the last 10 minutes I managed to catch up with the 1st position racer and got the chance to overtake him and win the race with a best lap time too. By the way I also would like to take this opportunity to give a big Thank You to my pit men Kato San & Chia.
